The Reverend Jeff Rasche has been selected to serve as Director of Development and Marketing. Rev. Rasche was appointed in July 2007 to serve at Chaddock, a Golden Cross Ministry of the Illinois Great Rivers Conference of The United Methodist Church.
Jeff is enthusiastic about "telling the story" of the needs of children and families, including the many families and children who are served by Chaddock. A lifelong United Methodist, Jeff was born and raised in Decatur, IL. Prior to his appointment to Chaddock he served 23 years as pastor for the congregations of Camp Point/Centennial Ebenezer, San Jose, and Pleasant Hill/Rockport United Methodist Churches.
A graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington and Perkins School of Theology in Dallas, Texas, Jeff has also completed the academic work toward a Masters Degree in Counseling. Jeff is a respected author and leader in the Illinois Great Rivers Conference, serving on various boards and committees. He has written numerous local, regional and national articles and curriculum materials for the denomination as well as for secular publications. Currently he is working on his 16th book in an annual series called My Devotional Companion for Abingdon Press.
Jeff and his wife, Shelly, reside on a farm near Camp Point and have three sons-Ben, Zach, and Nick. His hobbies and interests include mission trips, carpentry, stained glass, fishing, music and aquariums.
Karol Ehmen, Associate Director of Community Relations, comes to Chaddock after a successful fifteen-year career in downtown revitalization. From 1997 to 2008, Ehmen was the Executive Director of the Historic Quincy Business District. During her tenure, the Historic Quincy Business District witnessed over $80 million dollars of reinvestment and reinvented downtown with marketing and special events.
Prior to coming to Quincy, she served for four years as the Executive Director of the Hannibal Main Street Program in Hannibal, Missouri. During her time in Missouri, Ehmen was the President of the Missouri Alliance for Historic Preservation and served on the Economic Development Task Force for the Missouri Historic Preservation Program. Ehmen is a nationally accomplished speaker on preservation and downtown revitalization topics.
Ehmen is a graduate of Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois with a degree in Music Business. She has completed Preservation Leadership Training sponsored by the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the National Center for Preservation Technology and Training, as well as, training in the Stabilization and Maintenance of Historic Structures at the Campbell Center for Historic Preservation Studies.
"While I've spent many years preserving our community, my heart has been touched by the children at Chaddock and the preservation of these precious children is now my focus. I am in awe of the vital work taking place and thrilled to be part of the Chaddock family."
Ehmen resides in Quincy with her husband, Brad and four daughters- Lauren, Madeline, Ella and Anna. In their spare time, the Ehmens are restoring their Mid-Century Modern home and gardens, circa 1954.
Chaddock's new Associate Director of Marketing is Lori Steinmann. Lori graduated cum laude - Lindenwood University with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and an emphasis in Public Relations. She was inducted as Communications Student of the Year by the faculty at Lindenwood University and participated in an internship with KMOV Ch. 4 in St. Louis - a top 20 market.
Before joining Chaddock, Steinmann served as Regional Development Director with Presbyterian Children's Services; Communications Administrator with National Multiple Sclerosis Society; and Reporter for Lincoln County Journal.
Lori is married to Aaron Steinmann and enjoys spending time with their 5 year old Toy Italian Greyhound, Nicko. Steinmann enjoys being outdoors, playing and watching sports, reading and writing, and anything adventurous. "I am honored to be a part of Chaddock and look forward to working with and for the children along with the wonderful communities we serve."
Rasche, Ehmen and Steinmann join Debbie Smith and Diane Utterback to complete the Chaddock Development and Marketing team.
