Pops Pizza: 'Closed until further notice'

About a dozen people stood on the sidewalk outside Pop's Pizza Wednesday night, but there was no pie to be had.

They, and anyone else who might have had a hankering for Pop's Pizza, found a handwritten sign saying "Closed until further notice."

The crowd of people moved under an overhang at neighboring Traeder's TNT to get out of the rain.

Calls to the Pop's Pizza number Wednesday night went unanswered. Corey Johnson, who assumed the manager's role after original owner Mike Readdy left town, could not be reached for comment.

Btw, I understand there are about 15 applicants for the HQBD director's job.

I don't know for sure yet what is going on there. There was a the sign on the door Wed. night and a bunch of people standing around wanting pizza. I'll check there around lunch time and I'm trying to track down Corey Johnson.
